·        A case under Burglary has been registered in Ullal Police Station. In between 17/05/2011 at 1300 hrs and 18/05/2011 at 0700 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house near Sharada school Thalapady village Mangalore Taluk by breaking the door lock committed theft of gold ornaments and cash all in worth Rs. 1,75,000/.

Fatal: 01

·        A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 18/05/2011 at 0700 hrs on NH-17 at Nagana Katte Thokkottu Mangalore one Maiyyadi driver of Swift car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MA-5421 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2389 driven by Sathyanarayana (32) R/o Belgum District. Further both were succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic East Police Station. On 18/05/2011 at 0300 hrs near Marnamikatte at Atthavar Mangalore one Arjun rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-EC-4722 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and applied the break suddenly due which motorcycle capsized. As a result motorcycle rider Arjun and Nithi Kundar (24) R/o Atthavar Mangalore pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 18/05/2011 at 0630 hrs at Ullal Bail Ullal Mangalore one Mohammed Shafi driver of Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-31-M-5746 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-5417. As a result one Devadas (51) R/o Someshwara village Mangalore driver of said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 18/05/2011 at 1700 hrs at Chembugudde Permannur village Mangalore Taluk one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-3736 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Asam Akhil (06) a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 17/05/2011 at 0730 hrs near Moodushedde school cross at Moodushedde Mangalore one Umesha rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-EB-3610 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against Kinetic Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-E-7361. As a result Umesh rider of motorcycle and Balakrishna pillion rider of Kinetic Honda scooter sustained simple injuries.

·        A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 18/05/2011 at 1330 hrs accused Razak, Ashraf, Samshu and Areef abused one Mansoor @ Maheem Moheenuddin Mansoor (24) R/o Atthavar Mangalore abused one in filthy language in the premises of Principal Session court at Mangalore  and assaulted him with blade and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

·        A case under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act has been registered in Woman Police Station. On 18/05/2011 at 2015 hrs WPI Women PS on rounds arrested Geetha @ Sangeetha (42) R/o Kasaragod District Kerala State and Naveen Kumar Rai (34) R/o Kerala State who were soliciting for prostitution near old bus stand at Mangalore.

Missing Persons: 02

·        A case of Woman missing has been registered in Barke Police Station. One Radhika (28) who was admitted at White House Home Matadakani Mangalore on 05/05/2011 for treatment. She was left the White House Home on 17/05/2011 at 0600 hrs and did not return back and she has been found missing since then.

·        A case of Man missing has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. One Ananthapadmanabha (30) R/o Balikaashrama road Kankanady Mangalore who left his house on 17/05/2010 at 0900 hrs and did not return to his house thereafter. He has been missing since then.
