The following are the crimes reported in Mangalore City Police Commissionerate during the last 24 hrs as at 1600 hrs on 13/05/2011.

·        A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. In between 1030 hrs and 1045 hrs of 31/03/2011 some unknown culprits committed theft gold ornaments; cash Rs. 800/, a Driving License, a Pan card, a Credit card and a Mobile phone belonging to one Prashanthi S Madyastha (33) R/o Mangalore that was kept in her office at KMC Dental College Mangalore. The value of stolen property is worth Rs. 1, 40,000/.
·        A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Ullal Police Station. In between 0600 hrs and 0830 hrs of 12/05/2011 some unknown culprits committed theft cash Rs. 18,000/ and a Mobile Phone belonging to one Hameed @ Ammi (39) R/o Kutthar Padav Munoor village Mangalore Taluk that was kept inside his house. The value of stolen property is worth Rs. 24,000/.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 10/05/2011 at 1140 hrs in front of Shetty Icecream Kulai Mangalore one Avinash driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AD-1119 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-8838. As a result rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Traffic West Police Station. On 12/05/2011 at 1220 hrs in front of SBI ATM State bank Mangalore one Kishore driver of motocycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-EC-2178 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one unknown pedestrian aged about 65 years and caused him grievous injuries.

·        A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. In between 0500 hrs and 0730 hrs of 12/05/2011 one Raghvendra Nayak (29) R/o Shirsi Uttara Kannada District committed suicide by hanging at his rented house at Gandhinagara Kavoor Mangalore owing to personal problem.
