·        A case under outraging the modesty of women along with Attempt to rape has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 28/08/2011 at 1730 hrs near Amrutheshwara Temple at Thiruvailu village Mangalore Taluk accused one Mohammed Mansoor (15) outraged the modesty of Poornima (15) R/o Thiruvailu village Vamanjur Mangalore Taluk by pulling her dress while she was on her way from home to shop by walk and attempted to commit rape.

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 27/08/2011 at 1830 hrs at Ullal Kodi Ullal village Mangalore Taluk one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-EC-4023 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a bicycle. As a result bicycle rider one Abdul Khadar (58) R/o Azad Nagar Ullal village Mangalore Taluk sustained grievous injuries.

·        A case under Rioting, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Attempt to murder has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 28/08/2011 at 1800 hrs accused Deepak, Naveen, Ranjith @ Ranju, Ganesh, Anil Kumar and another one person forming into an unlawful assembly near Shakthi Bar at Baikampady Mangalore and abused Sandeep and Harish in filthy language and assaulted them by talvar and wicket and tried to kill Sandeep owing to previous enmity between them.

·        A case under Rioting, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 28/08/2011 at 1805 hrs accused Sandeep, Harish, Dhanu, Preetham and Punith forming into an unlawful assembly near Shakthi Bar at Baikampady Mangalore and abused Deepak in filthy language and assaulted him by talvar and also gave life threat to him owing to previous enmity between them.

·        A case under Criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 28/08/2011 at 0240 hrs near Panmbur circle at Panambur Mangalore accused one Dhanaraj Jogi R/o NMPT Colony Panmbur Mangalore abused Keerthi Kumar PSI Panambur PS along with staff CPC 651 in filthy language and assaulted them by hand and also gave life threat to him while he was on duty.

·        A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt, Intentional intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 28/08/2011 at 1800 hrs near Someshwar beach at Someshwar village Mangalore Taluk accused Shiva, Sandesh, Keshav and Bhooshan abused one Pramith Kumar (18) R/o Kapikad Ullal village Mangalore Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

·        A case of Gambling under Karnataka Police Act has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 28/08/2011 at 1700 hrs on credible information PI Moodabidre PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Nellikar village Mangalore Taluk. At the time of raid Police found 08 persons playing “Ander- Bahar” with cards. The Police seized cash Rs. 5,250/ and playing cards from the spot by arresting Ammu Poojary @ Ramananda Poojary, Jinendra, Hameed, Jubair, Abdul Latheef, Sudhakar Poojary, Nazeer Nellikar and Rasheed who were indulged in gambling.

·        A case of Gambling under Karnataka Police Act has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 28/08/2011 at 1425 hrs on credible information PSI Mulki PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Belaru village Mangalore Taluk. At the time of raid Police found 06 persons playing “Ander- Bahar” with cards. The Police seized cash Rs. 3,100/ and playing cards from the spot by arresting Musthafa, Nagaraja, Sharan, Vishwanatha and Khasim who were indulged in gambling. However another accused Yallappa manages to escape from the scene.

Unnatural Death Report: 02

·        A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 28/08/2011 at 0545 hrs one Sheshappa (26) R/o Ujire Belthangady committed suicide by jumping from the 2^nd floor of Samrat Restaurant’s building at Konchadi Mangalore owing to personal problem.

·        A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 28/08/2011 one Sundari Shetty (70) R/o Vidyanagara Panjimogru village Mangalore Taluk sustained serious injuries when the mud wall of her house where she was sleeping accidentally collapsed over her and she died on the spot.
