·        A case under SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 08/08/2011 at 1100 hrs at VA office Beluvai village Mangalore Taluk accused one Anil Village Accountant Beluvai village Mangalore Taluk abused Kusuma R/o Daregudde village Mangalore Taluk and Krishnappa in filthy language referring to their caste owing to trivial issue.

·        A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 11/08/2011 at 0745 hrs at NMPT Panambur Mangalore one Anand Kumar driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AD-9389 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-EB-115. As a result motorcycle rider one Manohar Bangera sustained serious injuries. Further Manohar Bangera succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.
