Fatal: 01

·        A case of Fatal Road Accident has been registered in Mangalora Traffic West Police station. On 04/08/2011 at 1355 hrs in front of Hotel Pereira at Hampankatta Mangalore one Madhava driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-EA-8217 drove his vehicle drove his in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Sysiliya D’souza (70) a pedestrian and caused her serious injuries. Further she succumbed to her injuries while under treatment on the same day at 1615 hrs.


Non-Fatal: 01

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic Esat Police Station. On 31/07/2011 at 2030 hrs in front of Medha Apartment at Mallikatte Mangalore one driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-20-P-7697 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a Honda activa bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-6301. As a result Honda activa rider one Dr. Sampoornananda (50) R/o Mallikatte Mangalore sustained grievous injuries. The car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

·        A case of Gambling under Karnataka Police Act has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 04/08/2011 at 1730 hrs on credible information PI Bajpe PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place near Fernandes compound at Permude village Mangalore Taluk. At the time of raid Police found 12 persons playing “Ander- Bahar” with cards. The Police seized cash Rs. 1,250/ and playing cards from the spot by arresting Edward, Suresh Prabhu, Badruddin, Babu Gowda, Sukra Gowda, Shekhar, Suresh, Harish, Gopal, Kittanna, Ansar Mijar and Iqbal Kaikamba who were indulged in gambling.


Unnatural Death Report: 01


·        A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 29/07/2011 at 1330 hrs one Pooja (24) R/o Sheethal Apartment Vadiraj Nagar Mangalore committed suicide by consuming poison at her house owing to personal problem. Further she was admitted to Yenepoya hospital Mangalore where she declared dead while under treatment on 03/08/2011 at 2140 hrs.
