·        A case under Rape, Criminal intimidation along with Cheating has been registered in Surathkal Police Station where in it is alleged that on 04/06/2011 accused one Sarfraz R/o Jokatte Mangalore had sexual intimacy with a Twenty year girl of Kalavaru village Mangalore Taluk by promising to marry her. There upon he cheated her by refusing to marry her and he also gave life threat to her.

·   A case under Cruelty by husband along with Abetment of suicide has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station on the complaint of one S.M Farooque R/o Bradage Mapusa Goa State. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Abdul Rasheed Kinya village Mangalore and his relatives gave physical and mental harassment to his sister one Shameena R/o Kinya village Mangalore to bring more dowry due to which on 10/07/2011 at night she was committed suicide. She admitted to Fr. Muller Hospital Mangalore where she succumbed to her injuries while under treatment on 22/07/2011 at 0930 hrs.

·     A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Mangalore Traffic East Police Station. On 22/07/2011 at 1430 hrs on NH 66 near Fire station at Kuntikana Mangalore one Nazeer driver of 407 tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-20-4140 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which the vehicle capsized. As a result Varun Devadiga (19) R/o Kapikad Mangalore and Kariyappa who were traveling in the said Tempo sustained grievous injuries.

·      A case under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act has been registered in Woman Police Station. On 22/07/2011 at 1200 hrs WPI Women PS on rounds arrested one Veena (40) R/o Akasavani Udupi district who was soliciting for prostitution at public place old bus stand at Mangalore.

Missing Persons: 01

·   A case of Man missing has been registered in Ullal Police Station. One Gnesh Karkera (37) R/o Sasihithlu Mangalore who was admitted in the K.S Hegde Hospital Deralakatte Mangalore for treatment left there on 20/07/2011 at 1330 hrs and did not return to hospital there after. He has been found missing since then.
