·        A case of Robbery has been registered in Surathkal Police Station relating to an incident of chain snatching. On 22/03/2011 at 0540 hrs one Sumithra (29) W/o Parashurama R/o 3 rd Block Katipalla village Mangalore was her way from home by walk. At that time one unknown person snatched the gold chain from her neck and ran away. The value of the property is Rs. 30,000/.

·        A case of MV Theft has been registered in Ullal Police Station. In between 0800 hrs of 21/03/2011 and 1130 hrs of 22/03/2011 some unknown culprits committed theft of a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Y-0433 belonging to one Mohammed Rafeeq (29) R/o Kodi Ullal Mangalore that was parked at parking place of premises of his house. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 30,000/.

·        A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Outrage the modesty of woman, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 21/03/2011 at 1800 hrs accused one Shashidhara criminally restrained one Lalitha (65) R/o Sankolige Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk near her house and abused her in filthy language and tried to outrage her modesty by pulling her dress and assaulted her by hand also gave life threat to her owing to trivial issue.

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic West Police Station. On 22/03/2011 at 0915 hrs on Light house hill road at Mangalore one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-5566 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and collided against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-7482 due which car driver lost control over his vehicle and fell into a road side ditch. As a result one Geethanjali (57) R/o Bejai Mangalore driver said car sustained simple injuries.

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic East Police Station. On 22/03/2011 at 1530 hrs near Prestige hotel at Balmatta Mangalore one driver auto Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-3874 drove his vehicle and in a rash and negligent manner and collided against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-2606. As a result One Sudhir (25) R/o Atthavara Mangalore driver of said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 22/03/2011at 1030 hrs near Honnakatte at Kulai village Mangalore Taluk one Joseph crasth driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-D-96 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-K-7812. As a result one Raveesh K (23) R/o Kulai village Mangalore Taluk rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

·        A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 22/03/2011 at 2030 hrs accused Ranjith, Subhash, Harish, Kishore and others criminally restrained one Abdhul Khadar (20) R/o Bantwal Taluk at Ennolipadav Pavoor village Mangalore Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with soda bottles and with a Helmate and also gave life threat to him owing to previous enmity.

·        A case under House trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 22/03/2011 at 1900 hrs accused one Ashok D Souza criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Sunil Kuvello (33) R/o Permannur Ullal Mangalore and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

·        A case of Counterfeiting currency has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station on the complaint of Laxmisha Kamath Manager Currency Chest ICICI Bank P.M.Rao. Road Mangalore where in it is alleged that in between 01/01/2011 and 23/02/2011 some unknown customers came to the ICICI Bank P.M.Rao. Road Mangalore and deposited cash. On checking, bank officials found 23 Nos. of counterfeit currency of face value Rs. 1000/ and 500/ in the bundle.
