The following are the crimes reported in Mangalore City Police Commissionerate during the last 24 hrs as at 1600 hrs on 19/03/2011.

·        A case of Burglary has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. In between 1100 hrs of 17/03/2011 and 1130 hrs of 18/03/2011 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one GopalaKrishna Shenava R/o Vaslane Balmatta Mangalore by breaking the window grills and committed theft of one locker. The value of stolen property is yet to be estimated.

·        A case of Burglary has been registered in Ullal Police Station. In between 2330 hrs of 17/03/2011 and 0925 hrs of 18/03/2011 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Bharath High School at Ullal Mangalore by removing roof tiles and committed theft of one Hitachi projector. The value of stolen property is Rs. 20,000/.

Fatal Road

accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic East Police Station where in one Sudhakar Baliga has been declared dead while under treatment on 18/03/2011 at 1030 hrs. The said Sudhakar Baliga was seriously injured by a motorcycle in a road traffic accident on 16/03/2011 at 0030 near Roopa Hotel Balmatta road Mangalore and admitted to the Yenapoya hospital Mangalore. In this connection a case has been already registered in Mangalore Traffic East Police Station.

Non Fatal Road

accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 17/03/2011 at 2330 hrs on NH 17 at Thokkottu junction Mangalore one Ashoka driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-5202 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KL-14-G-4781. As a result Sundari (67) R/o Babugudde Mangalore and Shrati (23) who were traveling in the said car sustained grievous injuries.

·       A case under Criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 18/03/2011 at 1840 hrs accused Harish and Sushanth abused one Gopal D. ASI Mangalore South Police Station while he was on duty at Attavara Mangalore and assaulted him by hand.

Unnatural Death Report: 02

·        A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 18/03/2010 at 0945 hrs one Ravi (34) R/o Sinphokariya District Jarkhand State accidently fell down while working at Mangala stadium Mangalore and seriously injured. Further he was admitted to Wenlock hospital Mangalore where in he was declared dead while under treatment on same day at 1000 hrs.

·        A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore Urwa Police Station. On 16/03/2011 at 1030 hrs one Nagaraja (35) R/o Ashok Nagar Mangalore committed suicide by consuming poison in his room owing to personal problem. Further Nagaraja was admitted to Wenlock hospital Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment on 17/03/2011 at 2120 hrs.
