Fatal: 01

·        A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 21/03/2011 at 1530 hrs near Baithari at Yedapadav village Mangalore Taluk one Vishwanatha driver of Tanker lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-20-4887 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-02-EP-1328. As a result motorcycle rider Tharanatha and Rohith Shetty pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained serious injuries.  Further they were admitted to A.J. hospital at Mangalore where in Rohith Shetty succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day.

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic West Police Station. On 19/03/2011 at 1530 hrs in front of Honda Matrix Show room at Ladyhill Mangalore one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AE-31 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a Maruthi 800 car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-9610. As a result Maruthi 800 car got damaged. No causality reported.

·         A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic West Police Station. On 20/03/2011 at 1715 hrs near bus stand at Ladyhill Mangalore one Krishnappa rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Y-5135 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Jayashri a pedestrian and caused her grievous injuries.

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 21/03/2011 at 1030 hrs on NH-13 at Baithurli Mangalore one Keshava Prasad driver of Maruthi Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-18-M-2998 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-3968. As a result one Alwin Fernandez rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.  

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 21/03/2011 at 1050 hrs near Overbridge at Thokkottu Ullal Mangalore one driver of Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AD-3618 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a car bearing Reg. No. KL-14-J-6380. As a result Riyaz (22) R/o Kerala State and Jameela who were traveling in the car sustained grievous injuries.

·        A case under Affray has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 21/03/2011 at 1400 hrs accused Thouseef (20) and Farooq (31) picked up quarrel and started fighting over a trivial issue in public place at Pyarish junction Ullal Mangalore. The Police arrested the accused and took up a case under affray.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

·        A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. In between 2130 hrs of 20/03/2011 and 0430 hrs of 21/03/2011 one Himalaya Pradhan R/o Peddiyangady Kutthethoor village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to health problem.
