The following are the crimes reported in Mangalore City Police Commissionerate during the last 24 hrs as at 1600 hrs on 07/02/2012.

·        A case under Murder has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. In between 05/02/2012 and 06/02/2012 at Kuntapadavu Kuthethur village Surathkal Mangalore Taluk some unknown culprits murdered one Hemanth by assaulting him with deadly weapons.

·        A case of Burglary has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. In between 04/02/2012 at 1730 hrs and 06/02/2012 at 0930 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Sri Sharavu Guliga Daivasthana Temple at Hampankatta Mangalore by breaking the front door lock and committed theft of 04 Silver Idols and cash Rs. 2,000/ by breaking the Kanike Hundi. The worth of stolen property is yet to be estimated.

·        A case of Burglary has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 04/12/2012 at 1245 hrs at Yashraj Bar Falnir Manglore one unknown person pretended as a friend of Rama Devadiga R/o Maroli Mangalore and committed theft of gold ornaments from his possession and ran away from the spot. The worth of stolen property is Rs. 70,000/.

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic East Police Station. On 04/02/2012 at 2130 hrs at Kulshekara Mangalore one Prakash Francis Pereira rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-E-3907 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a Scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-6164. As a result one Prasanna Fernandes (25) R/o Saripalla Alape village Mangalore pillion rider of said Scooter sustained grievous injuries. 

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic East Police Station. On 06/02/2012 at 1330 hrs at Hampankatta circle Mangalore one driver of KSRTC Volvo bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-FA-2123 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-E-2820. As a result motorcycle rider Haish and Kumaran (32) R/o Shakthinagar Mangalore pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries. 

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 06/02/2012 at 1935 hrs near Konchadi Mangalore one Lakshman driver bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-5558 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-J-4016. As a result motorcycle rider one Dhanush Y. R/o Derebailu Mangalore sustained grievous injuries.

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 06/02/2012 at 0830 hrs near Jain college Moodabidre one Ganesh driver Tata Ace bearing Reg. No. KA-21-A-1993 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-861. As a result motorcycle rider one Krishnaraj Bhat (28) R/o Kallikadu Moodabidre sustained grievous injuries.

·        A case under House trespass, Hurt along with Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 06/02/2012 at 1930 hrs accused Ravishandra @ Ravi Kotian criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Suresh Kotian R/o Angaragutturu Moodabidre and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with hand owing to financial issue.

·        A case under House trespass, Hurt along with Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 05/02/2012 at 2000 hrs accused 04 unknown persons criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Dinesh Kumar (25) R/o Kunjathbail Mangalore and abused him and his brother Rakesh in filthy languages and assaulted them with hand and wooden stick owing to trivial issue.

·        A case under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 06/02/2012 at 9000 hrs WASI of Ullal PS on rounds arrested Rekha (26) R/o Bagalkaote District and Mohammed Rafique who were soliciting for prostitution at public place near Kuthar village Mangalore.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

·        A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 06/02/2012 at 0930 hrs one Unknown male dead body aged about 35 yrs was found near sea shore at Ullal Mangalore. The death seems to be due drowning.
