·        A case of theft has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station relating to an incident of telephone cable theft. On 08/01/2012 near Kannur Check Post at Kannur village Mangalore Taluk some unknown persons committed theft of BSNL cable wire. Wire worth around Rs.15, 000/ is reported stolen.

·        A case under House trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 09/01/2012 at 0930 hrs at Bikarnakatte Mangalore Taluk accused Harish Bhandary, Grish Bhandary and Janardhana Bhandary criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one one Kalavathi R/o Bikarnakatte Mangalore Taluk and abused her in filthy language and also gave life threat to her owing to trivial issue.

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 09/01/2012 at 1715 hrs Karnadu village Mangalore Taluk one Faniraj driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-5019 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Sundari a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 09/01/2012 at 1230 hrs on NH 65 at Surathkal village Mangalore Taluk one driver of In nova car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-8601 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Murtaza R/o Muddebihala Taluk Bijapura District a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic East Police Station. On 09/01/2012 at 1100 hrs at Kaprigudde Mangalore one driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-3814 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-4513. As a result Isubu driver of auto rickshaw sustained grievous injuries.

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 09/01/2012 at 1100 hrs at Harekala village Mangalore Taluk one driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MB-4568 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a new auto rickshaw. As a result one Ansar driver of auto rickshaw and passenger Monappa Rai R/o Harekala village Mangalore Taluk sustained simple injuries.

·        A case under Rioting, Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mulky Police Station. On 09/01/2012 at 0915 hrs accused some unknown 2^nd BCA students forming into an unlawful assembly and criminally restrained one Thoufiq Ahammad (17) R/o Karnadu village Mangalore Taluk at Vijay college campus and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

·        A case under Rioting, Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mulky Police Station. On 09/01/2012 at 0915 hrs accused Irshad Ravoof, Thanveer, Thowship, Siddiq and other persons forming into an unlawful assembly and criminally restrained one Abhishek (18) R/o Moolur village Udupi District at Vijay college campus and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

·        A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace along with Hurt has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 08/01/2012 at 2100 hrs accused Jalal @ Jalaluddin (24) R/o Ullal village Mangalore abused one Hidar R/o Ullal village Mangalore Taluk in filthy language near Masthikatte at Ullal village Mangalore Taluk and assaulted him with sickle owing to trivial issue.

·        A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On night of 08/01/2012  hrs one Shiva Naik (60) R/o Puthige village Mangalore   Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to heavy drunkenness.

Missing Persons: 01

·        A case of Girl missing has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. In between 1630 hrs and 1730 hrs of 08/01/2012 one Salma Bhanu (20) who was working as house-maid in the house of one Iwar Rego (45) R/o Bikarnakatte Mangalore went out and did not return to the house there after. She has been found missing since then.
