· A case of Burglary has been registered in Ullal Police Station. In between 0300 hrs and 0530 hrs of 01/01/2012 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one H.A Saleem (83) R/o Kotekar village Mangalore Taluk by breaking the back door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments and cash Rs. 7,000/ all in worth Rs. 24,000/.

· A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 01/01/2011 at 1330 hrs at Permude village Mangalore Taluk one Rithesh driver of tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KL-11-713 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-3009. As a result motorcycle rider one Jayanth (25) R/o Pane Mangalore Bantwal Taluk and pillion rider one Dinesh sustained grievous injuries and Dinesh succumbed to his injuries died on the spot.
· A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic East Police Station. On 01/01/2012 at 1430 hrs one Bharath Kumar Suvarna rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-1844 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle and collided against a road divider near University College Hampankatte Mangalore. As a result Bharath Kumar Suvarna motorcycle rider and Sahil Suvarna pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries and admitted to the Unity hospital Mangalore. Further Sahil Suvarna succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on same day.

· A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 31/12/2011 at 1645 hrs on NH 66 at Kulai village Mangalore Taluk one Vasantha driver of Innova car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-D-1862 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Pookaram R/o Kulai village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
· A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 01/01/2012 at 0820 hrs at Grama Chavadi village Mangalore Taluk one Falcy D’Souza rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-ED-493 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Sowhan (07) R/o Konaje village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
· A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 01/01/2012 at 1630 hrs at Jappinamogeru Mangalore Taluk one Nisaar rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-6433 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Monappa Naik (67) R/o Munnur village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
· A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 31/12/2011 at 1845 hrs at Kelinjaru village Mangalore Taluk one Jinappa rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-J-404 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-1403. As a result rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-1403 Santhosh Kulal (28) R/o Yedapadavu village Mangalore Taluk sustained simple injuries
· A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulky Police Station. On 01/01/2012 at 1320 hrs at Bappanadu village Mangalore Taluk one Janardhan driver of Maruthi swift car bearing Reg. No. KA-20-P-1844 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-V-987. As a result motorcycle rider one Shareef and pillion rider one Sadath (20) Koppa Taluk Chikkamagalore District sustained simple injuries.

· A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 01/01/2012 at 0200 hrs accused Prabhakara abused one Sanjay (26) R/o Beluvai village Mangalore Taluk in filthy language near Padumarnadu village Mangalore Taluk and assaulted him with sickle. He also assaulted Kiran who came to help Sanjay with sickle owing to trivial issue.

· A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 27/12/2011 at 0800 hrs one Eramma (60) R/o Thenkulipady village Mangalore Taluk accidentally got serious burn injuries in her house and she was admitted to Father Muller hospital at Mangalore where she succumbed to her injuries while under treatment on 31/12/2011 at 2130 hrs.
