The following are the crimes reported in Mangalore City Police Commissionerate during the last 24 hrs as at 1600 hrs on 26/02/2011.

Murder:  01

·   A case under Rioting, Criminal restraint, attempt to Murder along with Murder has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 25/02/2011 at 1230 hrs accused unknown 04-05 culprits came in a Scorpio vehicle and forming in to unlawful assembly at Bandasele Muloor village Mangalore Taluk and criminally restrained a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KL-14-F-9963 and assaulted Kabeer, Nazeer and Sarfraz with sword owing to previous enmity. Further Kabeer was succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

·   A case of Burglary has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. In between 2300 hrs of 24/02/2011 and 0515 hrs of 25/02/2011 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one B.S Nayak R/o No-102 Saphire Gate Falnir Mangalore by breaking the window lock and committed theft of gold ornaments all in worth Rs. 4,00,000/.

·   A case under House trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 22/02/2011 at 1830 hrs accused Suresh Nayak and Sameep poojary criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Clara Lobo (36) R/o Kalpane Mangalore and abused her in filthy language and also gave life threat to him owing to financial dispute.

·   A case under Rioting, Wrongful confinement, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 23/02/2011 at 1930 hrs accused Guru and 3-4 unknown culprits came in a Qualis car bearing Reg. No. KA-09-D-8000 and forming in to an unlawful assembly at Kavoor Junction Mangalore and wrongfully confines one Mahesh R/o Kunjathbail village Mangalore in car and assaulted him with beer bottle and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

·   A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 23/02/2011 at 1800 hrs near Panchayath Pavoor Village Mangalore accused Naufal Gadigadde and Nasir Arasthana and Mamsa Khader criminally restrained one Hamza (30) R/o Pavoor post Mangalore Taluk and abused him in filthy language and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.
