The following are the crimes reported in Mangalore City Police Commissionerate during the last 24 hrs as at 1600 hrs on 04/02/2011.

·        A case under Servant theft has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. In between 0030 hrs and 0700 hrs of 03/02/2011 accused Ranjth, Shashidhar @ Sathish and Selva Kumar who were working in the CCL Company at Tharikambala Bajpe village Mangalore Taluk committed theft of Iron Scrap Pieces (750 Kgs)  from the same company. The stolen property is worth Rs. 15,000/.

·        A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 03/02/2011 at 1400 hrs some unkown culprits committed theft of cash Rs. 1,09,229/  and Bank Cheque Book that was kept inside the Bag at Padma Shree Hotel Kankanady Mangalore belonging to one Badrayya C.B (69) R/o Bangalore District.

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic East Police Station. On 02/02/2011 at 2050 hrs in front of Nithyadhara Battery shop at Mangaladevi road Mangalore one Fayaz rider of a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. CRX-3816 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided a scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-309. As a result scooter rider one Shivakumar sustained grievous injuries.

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic East Police Station. On 02/02/2011 at 2200 hrs near KSRTC bus stand at Bejai Mangalore one unknown bus driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a new motorcycle. As a result motorcycle rider and pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.  

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic West Police Station. On 03/02/2011 at 1130 hrs near Infosys at Urwastore Mangalore one rider of scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Y-5421 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Saraswathi (83) R/o Bokkapatna Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.  

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 03/02/2011 at 0615 hrs near Venkataramana School at Kulai village Mangalore Taluk one Balakrishna Shetty K driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-25-D-6 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and applied the break suddenly due which Suresh (43) R/o Kulai village Mangalore Taluk and Ananda who were traveling in the said bus got thrown out from bus and sustained simple injuries.

·        A case under Rioting, House trespass, outraging the modesty of women, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 02/02/2011 at 2230 hrs accused Richard D Souza, Mayyadi, Kiran, Kencha @ Chandra Shekar, Inzam, Sandeep, Manoj, Chandra, Jayaprakash, Beeju @ Dejappa and Ramesh Achari forming into an unlawful assembly and criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Ramesh (52) R/o Pushpa Nivas Thokur village Mangalore Taluk and abused him and his wife in filthy language and outraged the modesty of his wife by pulling her hand and assaulted him and his wife and his son by hand and also gave life threat to them owing to previous enmity.

·        A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Surathkal Station. On 03/02/2011 at 1600 hrs accused Kalandar Imran, Mohammed, Navaz and Basheer abused Praveen Kumar (21) Kermal Pakshikere village Mangalore Taluk and his frined Sukesh Babu and Nithin in filthy language in the premises of Govindadas College at Surathkal Mangalore and assaulted them by hand and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.

·        A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Surathkal Station. On 03/02/2011 at 1600 hrs accused Praveen, Nithin and Sukesh criminally restrained one Kalandar Imran (21) R/o Padupanambur village Mangalore Taluk and  abused him in filthy language in the premises of Govindadas College at Surathkal Mangalore and assaulted him by Blade and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.
