·        A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 16/04/2011 at 1315 hrs near Jokatte at Thokoor village Mangalore Taluk one Mohammed driver of Tanker lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-4908 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which Tanker lorry fell into a roadside ditch. As a result one Khadar cleaner of said Tanker lorry sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

·        A case under Rioting, Hurt along with Attempt to Murder has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 15/04/2011 at 2150 hrs accused Dileep Mendon and others came in car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MB-778 and KA-19-729 and forming into an unlawful assembly near Sai Samraddi Bar & Restaurant at Kulai village Mangalore Taluk and attempted to murder Dhanpal (37) R/o Meenakaliya Panambur Mangalore , Sushanth, Ranjith, and Srikanth by assaulted them iron rod owing to trivial issue.

·        A case under Affray has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 16/04/2011 at 0830 hrs accused Ranganatha (28) R/o Surathkal Mangalore and Nagaraja Shetty (25) R/o Bondel Mangalore picked up quarrel and started fighting over a trivial issue in public place near State Bank at Mangalore. The Police arrested the accused and took up a case under affray.

Unnatural Death Report: 03

·        A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 16/04/2011 at 0830 hrs in the Excel Mall building at K.R.Rao road Mangalore one Shekar (55) accidentally fell down from the building while working in the building and got seriously injured. Further he succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

·        A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 15/04/2011 at 2030 hrs one Dhanya @ Dayamayanthi (30) R/o Shanthi Nagara Kavoor Mangalore committed suicide by hanging in her house owing to personal problem.

·        A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. In between 1330 hrs and 1530 hrs of 16/04/2011 one Vidya Pandith (46) R/o Jyothi Nagara Kunjatthabail Mangalore committed suicide by hanging in her house owing to health problem.

Missing Persons: 01

·        A case of Man missing has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. One Sachin Malya (15) R/o Pacchanady Mangalore left his house on 13/04/2011 at 1100 hrs and did not return to her house thereafter. He has been found missing since then.
