·   A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. In between 1230 hrs and 1430 hrs of 05/04/2011 some unknown culprits committed theft of a Mahindra Jeep bearing Reg. No. KL-14-AC-2758 belonging to one Aboobakkar B (53) R/o Kanhangad Kerala State that was parked near Unity hospital Mangalore. The Jeep is worth Rs. 49,000/.

·   A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 08/04/2011 at 1930 hrs in front of NITK guest house Surathkal Mangalore one Rajesh Rao driver of Maruti Swift car bearing Reg. No. KA-09-P-4126 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against an Auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-4965. As a result Auto rickshaw driver Shankar, Padmanabha Acharya and Ramesh who mwere travelling in the said Auto rickshaw sustained serious injuries.  Where in one Shankar succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

·  A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic East Police Station. On 07/04/2011 at 1800 hrs at Attavara Mangalore one Abdul Kabeer rider of a Motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-EC-950 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and suddenly applied break due which the motorcycle capsized. As a result Safwa Hussain (20) R/o Bandikotya Ullala Mangalore pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

·    A case under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 08/04/2011 at 2100 hrs on credible information ACP Mangalore Sub Division along with his staff conducted raid on Room No-209 & 204 at Woodside hotel Balmatta road Mangalore and arrested Hameed (42), Jnanesh Poojary (23), Shwetha Pai (18), Soniya (25) and Apoorna Manna (28) who were soliciting for prostitution there and also seized the cash Rs 690/ and 3 Mobile phones from them.
