The following are the crimes reported in Mangalore City Police Commissionerate during the last 24 hrs as at 1600 hrs on 02/04/2011.

  • A case of Burglary has been registered in Ullal Police Station. In between 2330 hrs of 31/03/2011 and 0530 hrs of 01/04/2011 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Ibrahim R/o K.C Nagar Talapady village Mangalore by breaking the backside door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments and cash Rs. 6,500/. The total worth of stolen property is Rs. 8,90,500/.

·  A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 31/03/2011 in between 1250 and 1315 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of Cash Rs. 1,00,000/ from the hand bag belonging to one Sanjeeva Maniyani K. (58) R/o Capitanio Mangalore while he was traveling in the bus at Kankanday.
·    A case of Servant Theft has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 01/04/2011 at 1000 hrs one Rajesh (26) R/o Kulai Mangalore who was working as a cashier at Panjabi Dhaba at K.S Rao road Mangalore and committed theft of cash.

  • A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. In between 1030 hrs and 1200 of 22/03/2011 some unknown culprits committed theft of a Hero Honda Splendour plus motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-1672 belonging to one Devaraj (34) R/o Kadri Mangalore that was parked in the premise of DC office Mangalore. The Jeep is worth Rs. 25,000/.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic East Police Station. On 31/03/2011 at 2100 hrs near Kadri Kambla junction at Mangalore one driver of An Auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-4006 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Gangadhara R/o Bejai Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
