The following are the crimes reported in Mangalore City Police Commissionerate during the last 24 hrs as at 1600 hrs on 01/12/2011.

·      A case of Robbery has been registered in Kavoor Police Station relating to an incident of chain snatching. On 30/11/2011 at 1600 hrs near Prashanth Nagar at Derebail Mangalore one Kamala (70) w/o Vijaynanda R/o Derebail Mangalore was her way from home by walk. At that time two unknown persons snatched the gold chain from her neck and ran away. The value of the property is Rs. 40,000/.

Burglary: 01

·       A case of Burglary has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. In between 1200 hrs and 1300 hrs of 30/11/2011 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Sunitha D’Souza R/o Falneer Mangalore by breaking the back door lock and committed theft of a Sony camera and cash Rs. 1,725/ .

·        A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt along with Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 30/11/2011 at 1630 hrs Mansoor Kanakera and another person criminally restrained one Irshad K.A (17) R/o Deralakatte Belma village Mangalore Taluk near his house and abused him in filthy language and also assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

Unnatural Death Report: 01


·        A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 27/11/2011 at 1400 hrs one unknown person aged about 40 years was found not well near Kadri Mangalore. Further he admitted to Wenlock hospital Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment on 30/11/2011.


Missing Persons: 01

·        A case of Woman missing has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. One Bharathi (21) R/o Thenka Yedapadavu village Mangalore left her house on 21/11/2011 at 1030 hrs and did not return to her house thereafter. She has been found missing since then.
