The following are the crimes reported in Mangalore City Police Commissionerate during the last 24 hrs as at 1600 hrs on 22/06/2011.

Ordinary Theft: 02

·        A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. In between 0930 hrs and 1000 hrs of 18/06/2011 some unknown culprits committed theft of ATM cards, pen drive, election identity card and Cash Rs. 1,500 belonging to one Theresa Mathias (43) R/o Balmatta Mangalore which was kept in the office at Lakshmi Memorial College of Nursing at Balmatta Mangalore. The worth of stolen property is to be estimated.

·        A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Ullal Police Station. In between 1415 hrs and 1445 hrs of 21/06/2011 some unknown culprits committed theft of credit cards, gold chain, mobile handset and cash Rs. 4,850 belonging to one Dr. Rashmi Asst. Professor KS Hegde Medical College Deralakatte which was kept in the table of her office. The worth of stolen property is Rs. 22,000/.

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 21/06/2011 at 0730 hrs near Lawns-way bar at Idya village Mangalore Taluk one driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-17-A-9578 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motocycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-EC-6746. As a result one Krishna rider and Vishwanath pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

·        A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Ullal Police Station. In between 1630 hrs and 1700 hrs of 21/06/2011 one Yathin (25) R/o Talapady village Mangalore Taluk accidentally slipped into the pond near his house while taking bath and died due to drowning.

Missing Persons: 02

·        A case of Woman and child missing has been registered in Barke Police Station. One Shifali (20) R/o Boloor Mangalore along with her son Nipun Kumar on 21/06/2011 at 1900 hrs and did not return to her house thereafter. She was found missing since then.

·        A case of Man missing has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. One Sooraj R/o Manjagudde Ulayibettu village Mangalore Taluk on 20/06/2011 and did not return to his house thereafter. He was found missing since then.
