Daily Crime Incidents for January 22, 2011.

The following are the crimes reported in in Mangalore City Police Commissionerate during the last 24 hrs as at 1600 hrs on 22/01/2011.

Burglary: 01

·   A case of Burglary has been registered in Konaje Police Station. In between 1300 hrs of 20/01/2011 and 0900 hrs of 21/01/2011 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Aisamma R/o Baruva Konaje village Mangalore Taluk by breaking the back door lock and committed theft of Gold ornaments, 02 watches, a Mobile phone and cash Rs. 3,500/. The total worth of stolen property is yet to be estimated.

Fatal: 01
·     A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 21/01/2011 at 1215 hrs on Nh 17 at Baikampady Mangalore one Rehamathulla driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-5674 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one unknown a pedestrian aged about 50 yrs and caused him serious injuries. Further he admitted to wenlock hospital Mangalroe where declared dead while under treatment on same day at 1345 hrs.

·   A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic West Police Station. On 21/01/2011 at 1210 hrs at Nava Bharath circle Mangalore one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-8581 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Rajath Bhandarkar (13) R/o V.T road Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
·   A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 20/01/2011 at 0900 hrs at Kabilya Pajeeru village Mangalore Taluk one driver of Scorpio bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-7889 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and colide against a motorcycle bearing reg. No. KA-19-R-4887. As a result motorcycle rider Abdul Sathar  R/o Belma village Mangalroe Taluk and pillion rider of said motorcycle Abdul Kalandar sustained simple injuries.

Attempt to Murder: 01

·   A case under Rioting, Criminal restraint, Hurt along with Attempt to Murder has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 20/01/2011 at 2230 hrs accused Manoj @ Manu, Rajesh @ Kombu Rajesh, Harish, Rathan Raj, Mariyan Ashok, Sachin and other 6-7 persons came in vehicles and forminin into an unlawfull assembly IT park junction at Ganjimutt Mangalroe Taluk and criminally restrained Sunil Fernandes R/o Ganjimutt mangalroe taluk, Avinash and Ashok ans assaulted them with wooden stick and they also tried to kill them owing to trivial issue.

·   A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 20/01/2011 at 2000 hrs accused Ravishankar Muni R/o Ullal village Mangalore Taluk abused one Yamuna V R/o Vidyaranya nagar Ullal village Mangalroe Taluk in filthy language in her house assaulted her by hand and also gave life threat to her owing to civil dispute.

·    A case of Counterfeiting currency has been registered in Panambur Police Station on the complaint of K.S Vijay Manager Corporation Bank Baikampady branch Mangalore where in it is alleged that some unknown customers came to the Corporation Bank Baikampady branch Mangalore and deposited cash. On checking, bank officials found 01 Nos. of counterfeit currency of face value Rs. 500/ in the bundle.

Missing Persons: 01
·   A case of Boy missing has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. One Wilson Asis Lobo (14) R/o Kompadavu village Manglore Taluk left his house on 16/01/2011 at 1300 hrs and did not returned to his house thereafter. He has been found missing since then.
