The following are the crimes reported in Mangalore City Police Commissionerate during the last 24 hrs as at 1600 hrs on 08/03/2012.

·      A case under Attempt to commit Robbery has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 07/03/2012 at 0430 hrs at Badriya Junction Mangalore 02 unknown persons stopped one Mohammed Ali R/o Malappuram District Kerala State and assaulted him with knife and tried to robbed bag from his possession.

Ordinary Theft: 01

·        A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. In between 0600 hrs and 0610 hrs of 07/03/2012 one unknown culprits committed theft of gold ornaments from idol belongs to Jain Temple Market raod Mangalore. The total worth of stolen property is Rs. 1,90,000/.

·        A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic West Police Station. On 07/03/2012 at 1030 hrs Mukka check Post Mangalore Taluk one Lokanath driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-1638 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a KSRTC Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-01-FA-2154 driven by one Nagesh K (35) R/o Sullia Taluk. As a result the KSRTC bus got damaged. No casualties reported.

Unnatural Death Report: 02

·        A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 24/12/2011 at 1730 hrs one Ganesh Moolya R/o Katipalla village Mangalore accidentally fell down from the coconut tree while removing coconut and got seriously injured. Further he was admitted to the Wenlock hospital at Mangalore Taluk where he succumbed to his injuries on 07/03/2012 at 0620 hrs.

·        A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 06/03/2012 at 2230 hrs one Shoba R/o Shirlalu village Belthangady Taluk suddenly fell ill near her house and she was admitted to Fr. Muller’s hospital Kankanady Mangalore where she was declared dead while under treatment on 07/03/2012.
