·        A case under MV theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. In between 21/10/2011 of 2200 hrs and 22/10/2011 of1230 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Yamaha Libero motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-5655 belonging to one Dr. Prashanth Kulakarni R/o Kankanady Mangalore that was parked near Fr. Muller Medical college ground Kankanady Mangalore The motorcycle is worth Rs. 18,000/.

·        A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulky Police Station. On 22/10/2011 at 0525 hrs on NH 66 near Narayana Guru Mandir Haleyangady Mangalore Taluk one Basappa Ranjeri driver of bus bearing Reg. No. Ka-19-F-2848 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-30-3286. As a result driver of lorry Krishna Vasudeva Naik, passenger Prathish Krishna Naik (25) and other passengers sustained serious. Further Krishna Vasudeva Naik was admitted to A. J. hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day.
