·         A case under Cruelty by husband and relatives along with Dowry Prohibition act has been registered in Surathkal Police Station on the complaint of one Harinakshi w/o Sudhama Shetty R/o 5^th Block Katipalla Surathkal Mangalore. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Sudhama Shetty (husband) and his sister Jayalaxmi gave mental and physical harassment to one Harinakshi to bring more dowry to her.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

·        A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 21/10/2011 at 1540 hrs one Shekhar R/o Balya village Puttur Taluk accidentally fell down near Jokatte Kalavaru village Mangalore Taluk. Further he was admitted to AJ Hospital Mangalore where he was declared dead while under treatment on the same day at 1630 hrs. The death seems to be due to some health problem.
