The following are the crimes reported in Mangalore City Police Commissionerate during the last 24 hrs as at 1600 hrs on 08/10/2012.

·      A case of Burglary has been registered in Mulky Police Station. In between 0900 hrs of 05/010/2012 and 0900 hrs of 07/10/2012 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Shekar Kotyan (61) R/o Haleyangady village Mangalore Taluk Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed a theft of silver  ornaments  worth Rs 9,500/.

·         A case under Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 06/10/2012 at 1830 hrs near Kelinjar village Mangalore Taluk accused Akbar sadiq, Mohammad Rifayee and Idinabba assaulted one Sulaiman (44) R/o Kuppepadavu Mangalore Taluk with iron rod. They also gave life threat him owing to trivial issue.
·         A case under Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 06/10/2012 at 1800 hrs near Kelinjar village Mangalore Taluk accused Sulaiman, Farooq, Isubu and Shareef assaulted one Akbar siddiq (29) R/o Kelinjar village Mangalore Taluk with iron rod. They also gave life threat him owing to trivial issue.

  • A case under Criminal restraint, Mischief causing damage along with Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace has been registered in Ullala Police Station. On 07/10/2012 at 2000 hrs on NH 65 at Uchila bridge Mangalore Taluk accused one driver of Auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-D-7836 criminally stopped the KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2891 and abused driver of said bus one V. K Girish and also damaged the bus by breaking the glass. The damage is caused about Rs 3,000/.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

  • A case under Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 06/10/2012 at 2030 hrs one Bhudeshwara (50) R/o Puruliya Dist West Bengal accidentally fell down while walking at Railway quarters Mangalore. The death seems to be due to some illness.
